Liana Kangas is a freelance comic artist and a self proclaimed edge-lord, dog mom, who works in both digital & traditional formats. With a lifelong love of comics and a professional background in marketing and outreach – she combined the two to pursue a full time freelance comics career; including drawing her first creator owned comic, written by Joe Corallo and published by Vault Comics titled She Said Destroy and co-writing with Joe as well at TKO Studios on a story with Paul Azaceta.

She’s also illustrated and been published in 2000 AD’s 2018 Sci-Fi Special and 2145 Prog Future Shock, Black Mask Studio’s Black AF series Devil’s Dye, Comic Mix’s Ringo Award Winning Planned Parenthood graphic novel Mine!, and Eisner nominated, Ringo winning Image Comics’ Where We Live. Additional anthologies include AWBW’s All We Ever Wanted and Dead Beats.

Liana has been featured on SYFY Artists Alley and websites like Paste Magazine, Doom Rocket, Vice, Nerdist and Comics Alliance.
